Balenbouche is a family-run heritage estate between Choiseul and Laborie. Tours take in the ruins of the sugar works and giant waterwheel, Amerindian stone carvings by the river, and gardens shaded by old mango and tamarind trees. The estate also offers guesthouse rooms and a secluded beach.
