Sugar Beach sits in the bay directly between the two Pitons, giving swimmers the island’s most dramatic backdrop. The sand is imported white, the water is calm and clear, and there is good snorkelling along the rocks at the base of Petit Piton.
The beach is public; many visitors arrive by water taxi or catamaran tour from Soufrière, and day passes with sun loungers can be bought from the resort.
