Castries Market

The covered market on Jeremie Street has been the heart of Castries trade for well over a century. Mornings are best, especially Saturday, when farmers bring produce from across the island. Inside and around the market you will find spice packs, cocoa sticks for hot chocolate, cassava bread, rum, banana ketchup and handmade crafts.

It is a short walk from the cruise terminals and Derek Walcott Square. Bring small notes, be ready to bargain politely for crafts and try a local lunch from the food stalls on the vendor’s arcade side.
