Anse Chastanet & the Soufrière Marine Reserve

The reef begins just metres from the beach at Anse Chastanet, which is why snorkellers and divers rate it so highly: expect parrotfish, trumpetfish, sea fans and the occasional turtle in shallow, clear water. The area is a managed marine reserve, so follow the no-touch, no-anchoring rules and use the marked snorkel zone.

The beach is reached by a steep road from Soufrière or by water taxi from the town jetty. Gear hire and a beach restaurant are available.
