Mount Gimie rises in the island’s mountainous centre, above the Edmund Forest Reserve. The climb is a full day — steep, muddy and often cloud-wrapped — and must be done with a Forestry Department guide. The reward is a summit above the rainforest canopy with views to both coasts and the Pitons.
Only for fit, experienced hikers; start early and bring rain gear, water and food.
