On the north-east coast, Cas en Bas gets the trade winds that make it the island’s kite-surfing spot; lessons and gear are available from the beach. The sheltered end is fine for a swim, and horseback tours from nearby stables finish with a ride along the water’s edge.
The road in is unpaved, so most visitors come by taxi, tour or 4×4.
